About Jessica Tackett

From a young age, I knew art was my language. Adopted from Russia, my childhood was shaped by stories, colors, and the search for identity - a journey that now informs every piece I create. Supported by my parents, I pursued my dream of teaching art, eventually moving to Florida from Ohio for my first teaching position. Life then led me to Louisiana, where I earned my master's in art education and found my voice as an Artist.

Today, my work blends personal history, Russian heritage, and contemporary expression. The Echoes of Olja series is a reflection of memory, culture, and the spaces between past and present - a visual exploration of identity and belonging. Through each painting, I invite viewers into a story that is uniquely mine, yet universally resonant.
